The Tall Pines Studio in Helmsdale is the perfect spot for a peaceful retreat with stunning seafront views. the compact and cosy accommodation provided everything we needed as backpackers. Jackie and Paul, the hosts, were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the outlook from the studio and could spend hours just gazing out at the spectacular views over the sea. the studio's location just outside the village was convenient and there were local amenities nearby, including a fish and chip shop.
Felt like family, no complaints whatsoever.

The views from the property were absolutely stunning, overlooking the sea and providing a picturesque backdrop. The hosts were incredibly friendly and engaging, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. One of the best aspects was the peaceful atmosphere, allowing for a truly relaxing weekend getaway.
The lack of a small cooking area was a bit disappointing. While there was a kitchenette with a microwave and fridge, it would have been nice to have the option to cook a proper meal.

the peaceful surroundings and spectacular scenery made for a truly memorable experience. the directions provided by Jackie were very helpful in finding the place, even though it was a bit tricky to get to. the bunkhouse itself was well-maintained and had all the necessary facilities. Paul and Jackie were incredibly responsive and great to talk to. the seafront views from the entrance were absolutely fantastic, and there were also convenient local amenities nearby, including a fish and chip shop.
It was a cosy and enjoyable stay for my family and dogs. Cons: Nothing could have been better!

We got great value for our money at the Tall Pines Studio. The room was cozy, well-maintained, and had all the facilities we needed. The location was exceptional, offering stunning seafront views and a peaceful atmosphere. The hosts, Jackie and Paul, were responsive, helpful, and great to chat with.
Breakfast option could have been better with a small cooking area included.
